Single Track License

• Unlimited use of a single track in a single production.
• Licenses are multi-platform – see ‘License Rates’ below.
• One license covers all versions of the track – 30 sec, submixes, alternate mixes, etc.
• Covers a single production only. A production is defined as a unique TV, radio, web or mobile advertisement, promo, program or episode, or any other singular multimedia production.
• Covers cut-downs of the production but not different versions (script, visuals). Different versions require a license for each version/episode.
• Coverage is worldwide and in perpetuity with the exception of TV, web and Cinema commercials.

Production Blanket

• Unlimited use of all tracks in the Smart Media Music library in a single production.
• Licenses are multi-platform – see ‘License Rates’ below.
• Covers a single production only. A production is defined as a unique TV, radio, web or mobile advertisement, promo, program or episode, or any other singular multimedia production.
• Covers cut-downs of the production but not different versions (script, visuals). Different versions require a license for each version/episode.
• Coverage is worldwide and in perpetuity with the exception of broadcast commercials.

License Rates

There are 4 license bands and each are multi-platform. For example a ‘TV Commercials’ license covers usage in a commercial for both TV and web. A ‘Corporate & Web’ license also covers usage in a live event, a podcast and a corporate video.

*Web Commercials – For clarity, a ‘Web Commercials’ license is needed for any video that contains content that is designed to persuade the viewer to buy a product, or engage with a business or service.

Payment and receipt of files

Payment is by credit card, check or wire transfer. Credit cards are processed through PayPal. A PayPal account isn’t necessary. Once payment is processed you will receive a link to download the audio files, your license agreement and invoice.

All tracks are supplied as broadcast quality 44.1k wav, and 320kbps mp3.

Cue sheet compliance

It is important that any broadcast usage of a track licensed from Smart Media Music is registered correctly with your local performing rights collection society. A copy of the cue sheet or consignment note must also be sent or emailed to Smart Media Music by the licensee.
